Facilities Chairperson
Deborah Godshall has worked in Federal contracting for 4 ½ years and her contract experience has included performing Pre-Award, Award and Contract Administration for numerous projects and clients including the U.S. District Courts, IRS, SSA, DOE, DOD, DECA, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Army.
In 2006, she had the opportunity to transfer to Washington, DC and made a lateral career change into Federal contracting with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Intern Program. She was assigned to support contracting at Marine Corps Base Quantico and the Washington DC Navy Yard and joined the NCMA Washington D.C. Chapter and attended meetings from 2007-2008.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. Deborah has lived in Colorado for 20 years while raising her sons and enjoying the mountains biking, hiking and skiing. For most of those years she resided in Colorado Springs and worked in sales, marketing and procurement in architecture, engineering, construction and newspaper industries supporting both commercial and government clients. She also brings previous board of director’s experience and served with IFMA, International Facility Management Association as Communications Chairperson.
Deborah just renewed her NCMA membership this year after earning her Level II Contracting Certificate and Intermediate Warrant in Contracting. She was able to volunteer and attend part of the NCMA World Congress in Denver. She has accepted this position as Facilities Chairperson for our Denver Chapter and is excited to learn more about NCMA and all aspects of both commercial and government contracting.
