Monthly Meetings
June Meeting
The Denver Chapter is pleased to have Dr. Andrew
Aldrin speak at our final lunch
meeting of the 2007-2008 program year on Thursday, June 12, 2008. Dr. Aldrin's presentation is entitled
"From the 2nd son of the 2nd man on the moon to ULA." He currently is the Director of Business
Development and Advanced Programs for United Launch Alliance, where he is
responsible for formulation, development and execution of strategies for the
Lockheed Martin Boeing Joint Venture. Dr.
Aldrin has written widely on a range of issues related to international
security and space exploration. This
lunch meeting will be held at Landry's Seafood House,
Registration will begin at 11:30; lunch at 11:50 and
speaker at 12:20, adjourning no later than 1:00 p.m. Your meal choices are Fresh Pontchartrain
with White Wine Cream Sauce and Crab Meat or Grilled Chicken with

FAR Overview (Parts 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23) This
seminar introduces the participant to many of the Socioeconomic Programs of the
Federal Acquisition Regulation and consists of FAR Parts 19 ? 23. This
subsection addresses the policies and procedures of small business programs;
application of labor laws to government acquisitions; and environment, energy and
water efficiency, renewable energy technologies, occupational safety, and
drug-free workplace.

Contract Administration Basics (Contract Closeout)
This seminar introduces sellers and buyers to the fundamentals of contract closeout
planning in federal contracting. Attendees will gain knowledge of
organizational structures and players required for closeout, and the steps
required to close out different types of
