Nancy Royce is a Team Lead Contract Specialist with the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Western Field Contracting Division here in Denver. She provides contract administration and management for the Operations Branch where she has worked as a Contracting Officer for the last 14 years.
Prior to working for HUD, Nancy was a Contracting Officer for the US Department of the Navy. She spent 10 years on a Marine Base in the Arizona desert contracting for the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction.
Pursuing career advancement, Nancy accepted a promotion with the Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command in San Diego, California, where she enjoyed a wide variety of contracting work in base and environmental services, construction and security for several years.
For three years, she served as a member of the Procurement Management Review Team, responsible for scheduling and conducting reviews at 56 Navy field offices on a rotational schedule.
Nancy moved to Denver in 1996, and in addition to her contract specialist duties, became the Small Business Specialist for HUD’s Region VIII which covers 27 western states. Nancy attends many small business functions and conducts presentations and encourages small businesses to pursue contracting opportunities with HUD.
Nancy has obtained three degrees, the first, a Bachelor’s Degree in Government Acquisitions/Communications, the second, an Associate’s degree in General Business, and third, an Associate’s degree in Journalism.
Nancy joined NMCA in 2007 and joined the Denver Chapter Board as the Webmaster in 2009.
