Welcome to the National Contract Management Association Denver Chapter! It is with great enthusiasm that I share with you the activities planned for the upcoming program year.
As we wrapped up the 2010/2011-program year, we reflected on an extremely successful year. The time is now upon us to move forward with the 2011/12 program year. Several of our monthly meetings are already scheduled so hop over to the programs page and check them out. The programs we have planned help our small business community and provide education in fundamental areas such as change orders and negotiation techniques. Our goal for the upcoming year is to hit on the topics that you, our membership, want to hear about. I strongly encourage your participation with suggestions for speaker/seminar topics.
The Denver chapter’s participation in the NCMA contract management leadership development program (CMLDP) started our program year off wonderfully with the graduation of Jami Dinsmore and Erin Stewart at World Congress here in Denver this past July. We strongly encourage this spirit of excellence in our leadership and look forward to supporting future CMLDP’s.
The Denver chapter started reaching out to colleges and universities in the Front Range under the leadership of Blake Couture. We are continuing that effort and will attempt to attend even more career fairs, exposing this great career field to younger generations.
If you have not visited our chapter on LinkedIn, please join us. There, we can share ideas, ask questions, discuss events, and network with others. The group is titled “NCMA Denver Chapter.”
I want to take a minute and thank our corporate sponsors. Your commitment to the Denver chapter is truly appreciated and speaks volumes about your organizations to support this association throughout trying times. Thank you very much McKenna Long & Aldridge. Thank you very much Ehrhardt, Keefe, Steiner & Hottman, P.C (EKS&H). Thank you very much, ETI Professionals. Without your support, the Denver chapter would not be able to put on the programs that is does.
I am very humbled, honored and excited for the opportunity to lead the Denver chapter in the 2011/2012-program year. Contact information for all of our board of directors can be found on the Denver chapter website. I encourage your participation in the success of our chapter. Please do not hesitate to contact any of the board of director chairs to make suggestions, offer input, and ask questions. I look forward to seeing you at the various events we have planned.
Thank you,
Matt Gomer
